Part 1 of a 2 part session.

Teachers in Humanities classrooms around the world are faced with the onslaught of content that must be mastered in short time frames. This presents a challenge to teachers when considering the Flipped Classroom because 20-minute videos don't work for anyone! This cohort group will explore this dilemma and how teachers might turn the content into manageable bite-size chunks that students can be engaged with independently. Participants will take apart content of their own courses and create 5-7 minute video ideas to help students make effective progress, using a range of technological tools including Google Apps, Interactive technologies and Screencasting tools. The focus is on creating an overall approach that is manageable for students and teachers and meets the challenging requirements of Humanities courses, to create active learning opportunities that value, actively promote and make thinking and learning visible.

Outcomes: Take apart your own courses and create 5-7 minute video ideas
